As expected, December showed slowing in the overall market. This is normal at this time of year, and may also have been exaggerated a bit due to the financial uncertainty of the last couple months including healthcare and political concerns. December is typically slower in sales which may be born out in the January numbers. Overall sales were moderate with mixed news on the pricing front. January is usually strong for sales, so only time will tell where the trends will head. This it the prime time of the year for vacation and snowbird sales so it is also the time that seller's know they have a larger potential market.
